Emma
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Emma is the Assistant Director and Administration lead at Smithfield Village ELC. With 12 years of experience as an early childhood educator across various roles, she is dedicated to building positive connections and supporting our families, staff, and children.
Emma believes the early years are a vital time for children to explore, learn, and discover who they are. She recognises that every child learns differently and is passionate about creating an environment where all children feel safe, nurtured, inspired, and supported in their individual learning journeys.
Emma loves watching children as they grow through their own play and discoveries, and she places strong value on cultivating an environment in which every child can flourish and experience genuine happiness. She believes that an inclusive and positive setting forms the foundation for meaningful learning and lifelong success, and looks forward to meeting your family and welcoming you to Smithfield Village ELC.

Bec
EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER
I have five years of experience in Early Childhood Education and hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I believe learning should be joyful and that mistakes are important steps in becoming confident, capable individuals. I aim to help children understand that kindness, empathy, and respect are strengths, and that caring for one another and the environment creates a strong sense of belonging.
Through the way I listen, guide, and model positive behaviour, I encourage curiosity, persistence, responsibility, and pride in who they are becoming.
I love teaching because each day brings new opportunities to inspire children as they explore, grow, and build meaningful relationships.
